**Functional Description of 'The Building Game'**

'The Building Game' is a dice and card-based board game featuring:

• A board with a path of sequential steps.
• Eight player pieces, each representing a different character in the building game (e.g., Trust Fund Babe).
• Building blocks (Lego-like printed bricks) available in sets that include one ground floor, six intermediate floors, and one roof. There are eight different building styles, allowing players to either collect one style or mix and match.
• One die.
• Currency in various denominations.
• Limited loan credit certificates.
• Up-cards with primarily positive commands.
• Down-cards with primarily negative commands.

**Gameplay**

Each player selects a player piece to move around the board and receives:

• An initial amount of currency.
• Two loan certificates they can cash in if their currency runs low; however, these must be repaid before they can complete their building and win the game.

Players take turns rolling the die to move around the board. The board features a sequential path, with each step presenting either a command space or a respite space. The commands include options to draw either up-cards or down-cards, as well as other specific actions (for example, moving two spaces forward).

Throughout the game, players will encounter additional tasks, such as “show us your builder’s bottom,” which add humor but do not affect the outcome.

The up-cards may reward players with money or building blocks, while the down-cards may cause players to lose money or parts of their buildings.

**Objective**

The goal of the game is to be the first player to collect all eight building blocks and complete their building while remaining financially solvent. Players who run out of money are eliminated from the game.
